Age Group Sectional Accomplishments

This past weekend, twenty Duke Aquatics swimmers competed at Age Group Sectionals in Charlotte. The meet hosted over 900 of the fastest swimmers hailing from 93 different teams in North & South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, & Mississippi. Duke Aquatics stacked up very well against the competition, with many impressive team accomplishments.

The 11-12 Girls 200 Medley relay smashed the team record they set three weeks ago. Their time of 1:55.74 currently ranks them 10th in the nation (the 11-12 Girls 400 Medley as well as the 13-14 Girls 200 & 400 Free relays are also currently in the Top 20). Connor Sept reset three of his own 10 & under boys team records while also adding a new record in the 200 IM. Maija Roses set a new meet record in winning the 13-14 Girls 200 Breaststroke in a time of 2:18.44.

Nathan Greeley represented the 11-12 boys well by swimming to personal bests in all four of his events and picking up AAA times in the 200, 100, & 50 backstroke.
Connor Williams posted the 2nd fastest 13-14 Boy’s 1650 & 500 in team history, nearly breaking the 5:00 barrier in the 500 with a 5:01.
