This past weekend, twenty
Duke Aquatics swimmers competed at Age Group Sectionals in
Charlotte. The meet hosted over 900 of the fastest swimmers hailing
from 93 different teams in North & South Carolina, Georgia,
Tennessee, Alabama, & Mississippi. Duke Aquatics stacked up
very well against the competition, with many impressive team
accomplishments.
The 11-12 Girls 200 Medley relay smashed the team record they set
three weeks ago. Their time of 1:55.74 currently ranks them 10th in
the nation (the 11-12 Girls 400 Medley as well as the 13-14 Girls
200 & 400 Free relays are also currently in the Top 20). Connor
Sept reset three of his own 10 & under boys team records while
also adding a new record in the 200 IM. Maija Roses set a new meet
record in winning the 13-14 Girls 200 Breaststroke in a time of

beginning of February only had one cut for Age Group Champs,
qualified for and competed in five individual events at Sectionals.
Allison Lai, 10, competed in two events on Sunday, going a personal
best and nearly breaking 30 seconds in the 50 free.
Nathan Greeley represented the 11-12 boys well by swimming to
personal bests in all four of his events and picking up AAA times
in the 200, 100, & 50 backstroke.
Connor Williams posted the 2nd fastest 13-14 Boy’s 1650

while also competing in the 1650 free. Trey Harris, 13, swam two
events and anchored both of the boys relays.
