Duke
Aquatics is sending swimmers Ashley Twichell and Rose
O’Connor to the Open Water National Championships. Friday,
June 4th is the 10K which is also a selection meet
for the US National Team for 2010 Open Water Pan Pacs and World
Champs. Sunday is a 5K race. Both swimmers will be competing in
both races. It’s their first open water competition at this
level, good luck ladies!
Also on Saturday, June 4,
twenty Duke Aquatics swimmers will be competing at the North
Carolina Open Water Championships in Pinehurst, NC. Swimmers
15 years and older will be competing in a 5K, the 13-14 years olds
in a 3K, the 11-12's in a 2K, and the 10 & unders in an 800
meter swim. Following the event, the 14 & unders will
take part in a team campout, hosted at the
Schrickx's.
